Hi Steve,

I believe Africa Jim works in Elgin too but I don't know where exactly

Was there a fire in Keith the other day Steve?

The main road was closed and a country lane detour behind an artic added about an hour to my day  :(

Garage in Keith started glowing at around 0910 hrs - forget which day. Road closed till around 1pm ater a cetelyne bottle blew.

Yes, Jim lives in Elgin - you do literally go past his house as you leave Elgin. He can smell KFC from his house  :o  :D

For the record I enjoy visiting too, LWR.  This is my second port of call after a specialist Tiger 800 forum which is full of bike specific stuff useful to me as I am new to the Tiger.  I like it here for the Scottish (in fact local) feel and as others have said the friendliness and the lack of the darker stuff that you find on too many forums.  The inmates (!) here also seem to get out more on their bikes and do real things with 'real world' bikes.  I enjoy the new to me glimpses into the adventure biking world.  I am sure the forum will go on to be a great success. All the best with it.

Liking the local feel and community spirit, keeps me sane if a little jealous when away for work keep up the good work I'm sure it will grow as the season progresses and the word spreads.

Thanks for the feedback chaps . .

As for getting membership numbers up , yes , I agree that as the season progresses more will join ..  I am happy with how its going so far .
As IMO its the quality of the members not the amount that will make this forum a great place to browse , get involved etc .

On a side note , we have nearly 100 members here (dram or two when we make that milestone) ..

Onwards & Upwards

Cheers LWR
