So I have just got back from down Cosford [work & fun] and attended a large Motorcycle event at RAF Cosford brilliant day out, but the main one was the Carol Nash Classic bike show at Stafford, I took the opportunity to look at and as the dealer was also in Stafford have a play on the New Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, now I went with an open mind and must admit I found that the bike was actually screwed together better than I would have given them credit for
The bike also started well [new] and sounded just right and I must say it handled rather nice, nothing to wrench your arms from their sockets or that but had sufficient power to make it a nice allrounder, Yes I was impressed and thought how a Scramblerised [such a word] bike would look, would I buy one MMMmmm lets see how they fare and stay together but who knows.

So you announced it then Jim, ;D Told you I would let you do it, Nice bike mate and they are miles different than the old type with the pure Harley lump and being an 08+ it's got all the major improvements like mine,
The MAZ nipple as it's known, mentioned by Drumnagorrach is a worthy addition and only costs about £12 and it gives you the opportunity to lube the roller bearings.
I must try and upload some pics myself but I don't use a third party I only have them on my computer and can't seam to upload from there.

Certainly looks the part Craig, looks like it will continue were the 660 left off,
Must be getting old I remember when a 700 was a big bike not a middle weight ;D
[says he with a 1200 Buell]

Saw the map some area's are really polluted, but with the gulf stream coming over Scotland we get a lot of the rubbish deposited from plastic to pineapples washed ashore, "gangs off crimms cleaning up" in todays world it would be an infringement to their human rights as their solicitors would scream, you are right though ;D

    whisky galore anyone ;D

it makes no difference to the journey and you can pass if you want CAN

The A9 Perth-Inverness has had some terrific accidents off late 60mph speed camera's but an advisory for HGV's for 50, the policy of slower vehicles to pull over does not always work, live and let live says I, we welcome tourism but locals also need to go about their everyday life, as usual us bikers are at the bottom being the most vulnerable and it does not matter if they are from Moffet or Milan its still a lot of pain getting knocked off.

Well after many, many years of abuse at the max ;D the rear shock on my Transalp was showing it's age and a reasonable priced alternative was sought, HAGON was the most reasonable for my requirements that was a rear shock built to support something bigger than the average bear, :o and something that did not look like a Landrover spring on a strut [joking]

No problem they said, gave them my requirements and they produced a heavy duty shock that soaks up the bumps without a spine jolting thud, the service was fast and reasonable and fitting and their recommended adjustment was well documented, there are I know a lot of perhaps more desirable shocks out there but for the price and service I would like to thank HAGON it does what it says on the box.

This clip shows a Buell Uly at play being used for what it was intended alongside the usual adventure pack

I like ugly bikes myself, but there’s a limit and the HD is past it for me. I’d love a Ulysses though, I keep looking at ‘em and they’re not too expensive ;D ;D

The Uly's are okay post 08 I would put a pic up of mine but don't use third party picture hosts and don't seem to be able to put one on any other way.

Aye the Mastiff is fuggly, there is a whole list of designer bad day bikes around ;D

    Steve,

I could get half a dozen Buells for what they would won't for that, Now maybe a look at that new Moto-Guzzi V85 if it becomes available ;D
The Buell would have to go though, the Transalps too reliable it's like a pair of comfy slippers.
