First day out today and did 138 miles in the sun, still running in so no flying about, to be honest it would only fly off a cliff as it's only a 20BHP 350cc engine but I will give it a try to see if I am ready to live with a (much) slower mode of transport. Royal Enfield have come a long way in the past few years and this bike is a fine example of that. Lovely smooth engine/gearbox, very comfy and handles well on the roughish back roads I took today. I still have the NC which I will keep just in case I decide that this bike is not for me in which case I will sell it and go back to the Honda, but I doubt I will.

Mannie that lives "a few doors along" bought a Meteor with 1k on the clock. Did an oil/filter change and washed it.

It sounds really nice, as it trundles by, looks smart and he is happy with it..

Nothing in his stable has much more H.P. and he rates it.

Looks very nice Andy but I think I would get a bit frustrated by the lack of fizz for overtakes etc. A couple of mates have the 500 as second or third bikes and love them even trying a bit of touring on them.

A slow bike going fast is some of the best fun I've ever had on 2 wheels. And as a buddy once said "20HP is all you need, the rest is just wheel spin!"

That's a good looking machine too.

I did Middlesbrough to Monaco, then back via Geneva on a Honda CB250RS 2 up with camping gear. Totally loved that bike. The following year I did it again via Austria. Small bikes rock!

That looks rather nice, and I love the sound of them. I was thinking about trying to get an older one (read less expensive) just to enjoy a different kinda bike at times
