Road Works

Glendshee road, between Rattray and Bridge of Cally, closed 09.30 to 15.30 for roadworks. Didn't catch until when. Run to Ballater abandoned and went to Arbroath.

We had intended going Sma Glen, Pitlochry, the Moulin road, Kirkmichael- but I persuaded Dougie it would be more certain to be dry keeping easterly. If we had gone that way we would have got round it.

Except -----

When we came back we noted the Glendevon road closure (bridge work I guess). That would have scunnered the Crieff /Sma Glen plan.

Ho hum.

The A823 GlenDevon/Glen Eagles road is closed until mid June for the bridge replacement.

Looking for intel on the A93 I found that Scottish Water are working in Braemar for three days next week and the road is closed.

Apparently the official diversion is from Aboyne, the Slug Road, Stonehaven and all the way south to Blairgowrie and back up to Braemar.

Hopefully the Rattray Bridge of Cally work gets completed before then ---but I didn't find any intel on that !!
