Aye, they're good tyres - I got 15000km out of a set two up with all the gear and they weren't fully goosed even then. That said, in terms of 50/50 tyres the Avon Trekrider is tremendous on road, beter than the E-07 especially when they're a bit worn and it's wet and cold, but the Mitas might have the edge on gravel. The Mitas feels very tough, and they are pretty stiff. I aired my Mitas down to 33/36 or so (two up with luggage) which worked well. The Avons are a bit softer so needed airing down less often.
