 ;D Richard,
That Laverda of yours poses beautifully !
The Choo Choo was built in 1952 and came back into service a year ago after a major restoration.

Yes, it has the patented Laverda 'Louche Lean' sidestand fitted.  Oh alright, it's bent - they all do that sir...

We have about 15 Laverdas entered in the Loch Ness Rally in Inverness on 9th June if anyone is interested.  More than have been seen together in this neck of the woods for a long while.

The pic of Meikle Ferry piqued my interest as "an add it to the small pail list" .
I see the whole site was for sale just about a year ago.

Steve, how do you manage to find so much gravel to ride up here?

"Open Gate" policy I call it - if the gate is open, in I go  ;D

The last one was new to me, as the track has recently been graded prior to timber extraction. I'll be "doing" the whole of it on the F8GS soon - Mich Pilot Road tyres on the Strom  :o  ;D. They are fine on dry tracks, but wet means slidey  :(

I'll have to pay more attention when I'm out.  Although knowing my luck I'll be a hundred yards in and come face to face with an irate gamekeeper...

Out and about yesterday with a fellow Laverda nut.  Tremendous run around through Gairloch (yes, again) stopping off down at Redpoint.  Even though it is the beginning of August I was able to make ahem, good progress, although I was mighty galad we weren't following a mahooosive camper that turned down towards Torridon while were were having a sarnie at the petrol station in Kinlochewe.

We have a photo challenge on the ILOC forum too - hence the sign on the bike and the random photo of a red phone box.  ;)

Feels like a real privilege to be up here sometimes...
