Tracer 900GT Vs Tiger 800.
« on: August 20, 2019, 12:52:40 PM »
So, just on 1800 miles done since I picked up the Tracer on 2nd August.
A quick comparison of some aspects --

Tracer more sprightly than the Tiger and much easier to push around.
Tiger seat even as standard was more comfortable than the Tracer's
Tiger standard screen was awfull, Tracer's is pretty good
Tiger possibly high 40's to the gallon, Tracer 60.
Tiger standard panniers had huge load capacity, Tracer's are probably more BnB suited than camping.
Whilst farkling the Tiger lots of fasteners and alignment felt iffy, Tracer's have been really nice to work with.
The Tiger side stand was easy to deploy, the Tracer's needs to be looked at.
I could not put the Tiger on its centre stand without the rear wheel on a "block", Tracer's is nae bother.
Both get dirty !!

P.S.
I forgot the Techie stuff.
The Tiger's bouncy bits were probably softer(and unadjustable on mine) the Tracer's are firmer but scope to adjust now that I have had a wee run on it.
The Tiger's Tourance Next tyres I thought were faultless and kept fitting them. The Tracer's Dunlop 222's don't get good write ups but have been faultless. The tread pattern is however very simple.
Oh, did I mention the seat !
