Car GPS
« on: May 25, 2019, 09:48:43 AM »
So after 5 years my second hand nuvi car gps finally gave up the will to live , mainly due to all the offroading and the powered mount connections self destructed.

So looking at Bike Gps  .. errrrrr  Montana yum, Zumo yum but cash flow issues at the moment so it was eBay again for a bargain.

Car gps again then........    Garmin Drive 50LM lightly used £40 in original box ... I like

Fitting was a breeze as I had used car gps before , fitted my silicon sleeve of the old unit (mainly as I have the case tethered but also keeps the usb plug from coming out).

Some pictures

Hopefully I will get another 5 years from this one .

Looks good Craig, I will need to be looking for another satnav myself soon as my Tomtom car one is about 10 years old and I can no longer get updates for it. I will have a chat about the Garmin next week to see what you think as I had one a long time ago and found it to be a bit clunky to work with but I am sure they are much better now.
