Mitas E-01 Tyres

Tread wear on Mitas E07.
Front 9000 miles
Rear 4500
Both just legal maybe other 1000 left
Changed due to buzzing noise at front and squared badly at rear.
Used mainly on road , A-Roads , B-Roads , Dual Carriageway . Lots of fully loaded driving .
Mounted on my Transalp

Good overall tyre but trying Avon Trekrider next.

Front

Rear

Note: very difficult to get on and off, i gave up with the rear and took them to garage to change.

I knew I was limp wristed - I managed 14000+ kilometers on my E-07s, but bloody hell they were scary towards the end in the cold of Scotland.

E-07 is being phased out and replaced by the E-07+ which had a more open tread, so mileage will probably suffer but they may be better in claggy conditions.  I fancy a set of Michelin Anakee Wilds for my next trip, radials are tougher than bias because of their construction   and you (in theory) need to air down less often and hopefully they will offer TKC80 levels of grip.
