Day 16. FINAL Day

Shortish trundle home from Golspie. I still couldn't bring myself to stick to the A9 and jumped off through Rogart to Lairg, and down to Bonar Bridge

Went over the Struy but regretted it as a really heavy mist descended, making for very tricky riding. I took this pic but it actually got much worse

Down to lower altitude and it actually turned into a decent day. Crossed the Cromarty Firth

Through Inverness and home through Cawdor and Auldearn.

Home...

Final figures

KaTieMorag, washed and tucked up in bed

Mileage for day 104
Total mileage 2372

To summarise, down the east coast, cross country, wiggly route back. The length and breadth of the country, twice.

Highlights? Apart from the obvious top and tail, I loved seeing Jodrel Bank!!

No 'moments' with traffic. Enjoyed every minute, and already I'm wondering where to go next.

KaTieMorag was perfect!!

A life-changing experience? Perhaps! Always been reluctant to try anything if this magnitude, due to my cardiac issues, but I did it!

I'm fair proud of myself! I did it, alone!

Thanks to everyone for their kind comments and for reading my ramblings!!

You are showing all the ' non-cardiac issues ' (knowing ??) riders up and good on you for doing that  ;)
All of Europe and beyond beckons but is there a problem with insurance/medical cover ?

Cracking job.

Well done Mountie and a good write up. For a bit of fun I used Google Maps to get some idea of the overall distance and it's the same as JOG to Palermo, Sicily!
Much respect to you Sir
